Storm Struck is almost here.

We’re on track for the release of Storm Struck… although not without a few snags. For example, we had to switch printers in the middle of the road because of our super-fast schedule — 56 days from start to finish! Partner Doug Weaver is heading down to Indiana next Thursday to pick up 400 books and drive them to TC Launch on 27 September. We had problems with the Kindle version as well; trying to get it to look its best for tablet viewing.

But we succeeded, and all is well. Better, actually. We got to add more photos in the Kindle edition as we weren’t limited to page numbers.

For all of you who are coming to the 27 September event at the First Congregational Church on Center Road in TC, we’ll have a “will-call” table set up for contributors.  Additional books will be for sale at a reduced price of $20, tax included. Remember, a dollar of every purchase goes to Friends of the Sleeping Bear Dunes. You can pre-order the paper books here.

If you can’t make the event, then the books will be available at the National Writers Series headquarters, above Cuppa Jo at Building 50. Stop by anytime during regular office hours.

I’ve added a couple of images from the Kindle edition. The book looks best when viewed on an iPad. Better than best; it looks spectacular. (See image at left.)Screen Shot 2015-09-17 at 9.34.21 AM

Thank you again for your contributions. Hope to meet you soon. And hope your clean-up is going smoothly.

Yours, Heather Shaw and Mission Point Press
